Active Screens: a collection of hybrid textiles.Transparency, shades and rythms
The Active Screens project, started in 2018 in collaboration with Maria Wolff Metternich, is a collection of hybrid textiles, combinations of different techniques: weaving, knitting, pleating and printing. Each surface is designed starting from the thread, using state-of-the-art textile machines. They can be used to filter light or as floating paintings.
Through a process of vertical layering, each piece offers new shades and rhythms. Transparency blends and unites the surfaces. Their vibration accentuates depth and fluidity. The hanging space and gravity modulate the individual perception of colour nuances and the experience of optical effects.

Each layer is interchangeable, allowing an infinite variety of combinations. Suspended on springs, these playful pieces are presented in movement following a random impulse. Each arrangement can be used as a blind or a floating painting.
