L’Air de Lyre – Hermès.
An exclusive window display in Aix-en-Provence
For the exclusive Hermès Aix-en-Provence 2023 window displays, Juliette Berthonneau and Côme Clerino have designed « L’air de lyre ».
Presented for the inauguration of Festival d’Art Lyrique, the installation showcases Hermès products, blending with the creation of imaginary musical instruments inspired by mythology and with the company’s emblematic equestrian universe. In a vibrant, sunny atmosphere, patterns and pleats are like a musical score that gives rhythm to the space. Colors are fresh and luminous. Shapes evoke the silhouettes of symbolic animals.
The project explores different handmade techniques such as moulded pleated ceramic tiles, gradations of enamel, mosaic, hand pleated fabrics, plaster and metal sculptures. It creates the backdrop and a scene to showcase luxury Hermès products.
